Human Rights Statement

Human Rights Statement

Our Commitment to Human Rights

At Century Pharmaceuticals, Inc., we are committed to respecting and upholding human rights in all aspects of our business. We believe that long-term success requires the respect for inherent human dignity, which results in fair treatment for all.

Our approach is guided by internationally recognized standards, including the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the principles of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code.

Respect for human rights is a core element of our day-to-day operations and decision-making.

Scope of This Statement

This statement applies to:

  • Employees, officers, and temporary workers
  • Contractors and agency personnel
  • Suppliers, vendors, and business partners

Our Seven Principles

1. Freely Chosen Employment

We prohibit all forms of forced, bonded, or involuntary labor, including human trafficking. Employees are free to leave employment with reasonable notice and are not required to surrender identification or pay fees as a condition of employment.

2. Child Labor

We do not employ individuals below the legal minimum working age. We comply with all applicable laws and international standards regarding young workers and ensure they are protected from hazardous work.

3. Fair Wages, Benefits, and Working Hours

We comply with all applicable wage and hour laws, including minimum wage, overtime, and benefits requirements. We are committed to fair compensation and regularly review our practices to improve employee well-being.

4. Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity

We are committed to providing an inclusive workplace free from discrimination or harassment. Employment decisions are based on merit and business needs, without regard to protected characteristics.

5. Safe and Healthy Workplace

We provide a safe and healthy working environment and take proactive measures to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. Employees are provided with appropriate training, equipment, and support.

6. Freedom of Association

We respect employees’ rights to freely associate, join or not join organizations, and engage in collective bargaining in accordance with applicable laws.

7. Respectful and Ethical Workplace

We prohibit all forms of harassment, abuse, intimidation, or inhumane treatment. All individuals are expected to contribute to a respectful and professional work environment.

Supply Chain Responsibility

We recognize that our business partners can impact human rights. We work to identify and address potential risks within our supply chain and expect suppliers to operate in accordance with this Statement or equivalent standards.

Where concerns are identified, we will take appropriate action, which may include corrective measures or reconsideration of the business relationship.

Risk Management and Due Diligence

We seek to identify, prevent, and mitigate potential human rights risks in our operations and supply chain. This includes ongoing evaluation of workplace practices and supplier relationships.

If we identify or are made aware of adverse human rights impacts, we are committed to taking appropriate steps to address and remediate those impacts.

Reporting and Non-Retaliation

We encourage employees and stakeholders to raise concerns related to human rights without fear of retaliation.

Concerns may be reported through:

  • Management or Human Resources
  • An anonymous reporting “tip box” located in employee common areas, allowing team members to submit concerns confidentially

We will investigate concerns promptly and take appropriate action where needed.

Training and Awareness

We support this commitment through appropriate training and communication to ensure employees understand their responsibilities and that this statement is effectively implemented across our organization.

Governance and Continuous Improvement

This statement is supported by company leadership and is regularly reviewed to ensure alignment with evolving standards, regulations, and best practices.

We are committed to continuous improvement and ongoing engagement with stakeholders to strengthen our human rights performance.
